Ludwick Marishane's DryBath

I wish every middle, high school, and college student that I know could meet this extremely interesting young South African. He invented a way to take a bath without water, which is extremely important in places where clean water is limited. It conserves water and it prevents disease.

He did it without a computer or even a reliable internet connection. He used his Nokia cellphone and some access to the only internet connection in his village. He now holds the patent and the product is going into production. I could write more about his project, but he tells it so much better in this 5 minute TED talk: Bath without Water. Please, please check it out!

If you are a Villa Garcia student and would like to watch it but don't know how, contact me and I'll help you. Or drop by the Community Room at 7:45 this coming Tuesday night (1/15/2013). I'll bring my laptop and we'll watch it together.
